Alloy Steel Round
Alloy steel is steel that is alloyed with a variety of elements in total amounts between 1.0% and 50% by weight to improve its mechanical properties. Alloy steels are broken down into two groups: low alloy steels and high alloy steels. An alloy steel is a type of steel alloyed with more than one element and these are added to increase strength, hardness and toughness. The added alloying elements that are added to the base iron and carbon structure typically total no more than 10% of the alloy steel’s material composition.
